Charles Wartelle received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University of Law in 1986. Before attending law school he was employed as a claims representative with Aetna Casualty Insurance Company. For over 20 years he was an insurance defense attorney handling cases in state courts throughout Louisiana as well as in the Federal court. He has tried numerous cases, and argued appeals before the Louisiana Supreme Court and the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Wartelle is a long time member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He has sat on the Board of Community Advisors for the St. Tammany West Habitat for Humanity and the North Shore Chapter of the Catholic Foundation of Greater New Orleans. Mr. Wartelle and his wife Lynda are active donors to many other worthy causes through their charitable foundation, the Meisner Crown Trust.
